SM East tennis tops pre-season rankings. SM East’s tennis team, which won last year’s Kansas 6A state title — its third consecutive championship — is at the top of the Kansas Tennis Coaches’ Association pre-season poll. The Lancers are followed by Blue Valley North and Blue Valley Northwest. Kansas City Christian and Bishop Miege also received votes in the 3-2-1A and 4A classes. Nall Park and Turkey Creek Trail on meeting agenda. Residents of Ward 1 are invited to a meeting tonight at 5:30 p.m. at the Roeland Park Community Center to talk about Nall Park and how it could hook into the Turkey Creek Trail recently discussed in Mission. The meeting had originally been called to talk about upkeep at the park, said Councilor Becky Fast, but will now also include a presentation from Mission and discussion about the potential to have access to the trail. Fast said she had received a number of calls who have asked for more information about the trail and a park connection.
