Construction of the new Woodside Village development in Westwood got off to a start this week with the temporary relocation of cell towers.
The cell towers are being relocated from the Youthfront building on Rainbow across 47th Place to Woodside property. The Youthfront building will be demolished to make way for the first phase of construction which includes 20,500 square feet of retail, including a new Italian restaurant, and 91 apartments.
The first phase also includes an expansion of the Woodside Health and Tennis Club. The project will have a total of 333 apartments. The second phase will add 16,000 square feet of additional retail, including a new grocery.
The development is centered at the intersection of 47th Place and Rainbow.
