Prairie Village resident tapped as Wyandotte County United Way campaign honorary chair. Prairie Village resident and Wyandotte County native Joe Vaughan has been named honorary chair of the 2014 Wyandotte County United Way campaign. The 2014 campaign will kick off with a luncheon September 11 at the Kansas City Kansas Community College Technology Center.
Library kicks off Generation Exchange storytelling project. The Johnson County Library and the Johnson County Park and Recreations District are among the partners in a new storytelling project designed to help older adults share their stories and exchange viewpoints with younger interviewers. Program kits can be used by individuals, families or schools and the interviews can be uploaded and archived at the project’s website. http://generationexchange.mymcpl.org/ The program is a collaborative initiative of the Mid-America Regional Council’s KC Communities for All Ages.
Fairway schedules budget meetings. Ward meetings will be held to discuss the Fairway 2015 budget. Meetings will be held at 7 p.m. at city hall. Wards 2 and 4 will meet July 15 and Wards 1 and 3 will meet on July 17.
