The Supreme Court on Monday ruled that family-owned companies should not be mandated to pay for employees’ contraception under the Affordable Care Act, saying such a mandate would violate their religious freedom protections. Hobby Lobby, the defendant in the case, had drawn protests across the country — including locally in Mission — for its stance on the issue.
