Brownback taps Hinson for K-12 efficiency commission. Kansas Gov. Sam Brownback announced this week that Shawnee Mission Superintendent Jim Hinson was one of his two new appointments to the state’s K-12 fiscal efficiency and accountability commission. The other appointee was Bev Mortimer, superintendent of the rural Concordia School District. Get “Frozen” in Westwood Friday. With the weather heating up, the city of Westwood is putting on an event that should cool residents down. Westwood will hold a “Movies in the Park” showing of Disney’s Frozen this Saturday, June 21, at 8:45 p.m. The event is free for all ages. Westwood’s Joe D. Dennis Park is located at 50th and Rainbow Boulevard. Lawn chair and picnic blankets are welcome.
Website claims Prairie Village is top area in Kansas City for cheating. Make of it what you will…but AshleyMadison.com, a website that lets users arrange extramarital affairs, released a list of the “least faithful” areas in the Kansas City area, and Prairie Village topped the list.
