Roeland Park woman among targets of recent highway shootings. Roeland Park resident Jennie Baugher is one of the people whose cars have been shot in a recent string of highway shootings. Kansas City police have identified 13 cases, with six shootings occurring in the past five days. Baugher was driving over Highway 71 on 75th Street Friday when she heard a bullet hit her car. “I really thought it was a big rock that hit us,” she told KCTV 5. “There wasn’t another vehicle in site and we were in the right lane and hit on the right side so to me it seems like that it was someone that was standing near the overpass or possibly down below.” [Kansas City police investigate 13 shootings aimed at drivers — KCTV5]
