Deffenbaugh will be picking up all sorts of goodies Saturday, April 5 for Prairie Village residences north of 75th Street Saturday, and Saturday, April 12 for residences south of 75th Street. You must place your items — none of which can be larger than a standard-sized refrigerator — on the curb by 7 a.m. the day of the pick up. Refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners and ice makers are all par for the course, but Deffenbaugh asks that you set them a few feet away from items that don’t contain refrigerant chemicals.
Here are the items Deffenbaugh will collect:
- Railroad ties (4’ or less in length)
- Fencing (Cut into 4’ x 4’ sections. Bundle loose pickets for easy collection.)
- Tree limbs cut to 4’ or less in length and secured in bundles not more than 18” in diameter.
- Carpet (cut into 4’ x 4’ sections)
You can call Deffenbaugh at 913-637-3300 or visit the city’s website for answers to additional questions.
