Story restaurant’s Carl Thorne-Thomsen is looking to defend his title as Food & Wine magazine’s People’s Best New Chef for the Midwest.
The publication has opened up voting for this year’s People’s Best New Chef awards in 10 regions across the country through March 31. You can cast your vote here.
Last year, Thorne-Thomsen beat out talented chefs from Minnesota, Wisconsin and Missouri for the title. This year, Thorne-Thomsen faces off against some of the same chefs he beat out last year, including local kitchen wizards Ryan Brazeal of Novel and Patrick Ryan of Port Fonda.
Thorne-Thomsen was also a semi-finalist for the 2013 James Beard Best Chef in the Midwest award.
