The SM North yearbook staff has been honored with a top award in the Columbia Scholastic Press Association (CSPA) competition.
The SM North 2013 yearbook, The Indian, was named a Gold Crown winner at the 90th annual Scholastic Convention. The Indian was one of only 13 yearbooks in the country to receive a Gold Crown. This year 1,236 digital, newspapers, magazines and yearbooks published during the 2012-2013 academic year were eligible for judging at Columbia University.
The CSPA is an international press association owned and operated by Columbia University since 1925. It unites student journalists and faculty advisers at colleges through educational conferences, idea exchanges and awards programs. The SM North publications advisor is Becky Tate.
