St. Ann Catholic School recently dedicated its new addition that added eight classrooms, new restrooms and a workroom.
The fifth through eighth graders are in the new rooms that are equipped with updated technology. Because of that shift, the three kindergarten classes were able to move to larger classrooms in a secure area. Third and fourth graders also now have large classrooms suited for collaborative learning and stations. The school also gained a dedicated science lab that all teachers can use with their students.
At the Jan. 25 dedication, Fr. Keith Lunsford blessed the new space after 4 p.m. mass and parishioners and parents were able to tour the building. The open house continued after both masses the next day.
“It was truly a joyous weekend,” said Principal Becky Akright. “We are so excited that the parishioners who donated generously to make this happen were happy with the results.”
