Ahh, Restaurant Week. A small ray of sunshine to get us through these bleak January days. And some of our local restaurants are really stepping it up this year. While almost all of the restaurants in the Corinth and Village Shops are offering the standard $15 two course lunch or $33 three course dinner, some are going above and beyond. Here’s what I’m excited about:
Spin! – They have wine, beer or sangria in their package, plus a $5 Spin coupon for your next visit.
Story – They no longer do lunch, but they will offer a two-course Sunday brunch for $15. I am particularly excited about the starter option of blueberry pancakes. I mean, a meal cannot go wrong when you are starting with blueberry pancakes.
Urban Table – This week would be a great time to check out their redesigned space, especially since their menu sounds fascinating. For lunch they’re offering (among other things) a Texas Philly Sandwich (with chili?!) and a Deviled Egg Sandwich. What the what? They’ve also got a four course $33 dinner, including an intriguing Carrot Cake Beignet…
As much as I love cooking at home, I really love our local restaurants. We are so lucky to have some wonderful, independent options that are so close. Get out there and support them! (And take a look at our previous roundup for a list of all the participating northeast Johnson County eateries).
