Mt. Snowmore wins Fairway’s second snow sculpture contest

Round two of the preposterous snow attack that crippled the area over the past week did have one upside: It gave Fairway a chance to hold a second round of its locally famous snow sculpture contest. And the fresh snow must have helped percolate fresh ideas among Fairway residents, because the most recent round of entries were pretty phenomenal.

Giant heads appear to have been an attractive subject, for whatever reason. So, fittingly, second place went to this frosty bust of John Lennon:
