If you’re looking for lunch this Sunday, have a hankering for Mexican, and want to help send a group of SM East and Bishop Miege kids southward for a summer of cultural exchange, plan on attending the Amigos de las Americas feast:
The Kansas City Chapter of Amigos de las Americas will serve its annual Mexican Dinner on Sunday, March 3, 11:30am-2:00pm, at Bishop Miege High School, 5401 Reinhardt Drive, Roeland Park, KS.
The Mexican dinner also offers something new this year: a raffle for the chance to win four KU
basketball tickets for Senior Night the following evening, Monday, March 4. Tickets are $5.00.
The Amigos program prepares young leaders for full-immersion cultural exchanges and community
service projects in nine Latin American countries. Community-building initiatives include health and hygiene programs, environmental and nutritional programs, and national park improvement projects.
