Legislative ministry group targets north JoCo as ‘dark spiritual area’

Personally, I think north Johnson County is a pretty stellar place to live, what with its great schools, public facilities, strong sense of community, beautiful parks, and so on.

But apparently I’m wrong. Like, really, really wrong.

The Capitol Commission, a North Carolina-based ministry group that preaches to lawmakers, does not think north Johnson County is a nice place to live. In fact, a prayer notice released by the group last week cites the area as one of four “dark spiritual places” in the state that are in special need of prayer.

Kansas House Minority Leader Paul Davis of Lawrence — a fellow dark spiritual place — posted a copy of the prayer notice on his Facebook page earlier this week:
