Firefighters quell major blaze at Mission apartment complex

Firefighters from three departments were called to the Wellington Club Apartments at 4900 Broadmoor in Mission late Friday evening. Flames were visible from the roof of one apartment building and residents of nearby apartments were evacuated.
The extent of damage done was significant, though the fire was under control by about 9 p.m.
