County Commissioner Peterson elected vice chair of MARC
Peterson is county commissioner for the first district representing northeast Johnson County. He is a former mayor and city councilor in Fairway. He also is a partner with the law firm Finnegan, Conrad and Peterson.
MARC is the association of city and county governments and the metropolitan planning organization for the Kansas City region. The board consists of 33 locally elected leaders from the nine member counties and the six largest cities as well as representatives from other cities.
Prairie Village Mayor Ron Shaffer is a past chair of the MARC board.
