Dorr light display on PV city grounds raises $3,100 for charity

Tim Dorr’s 2012 choreographed holiday lights display on the Prairie Village Municipal Grounds brought in more than $3,100 for the Prairie Village Municipal Foundation and Heartland Habitat for Humanity.

It was the second year that Dorr put up the display on city property after deciding to move it from his home in 2010 after complaints from a neighbor about traffic.

Last year, the display raised more than $3,600 in donations.

The city reports that plans are already under way to bring the display back to city property for 2013.
