Family fight leaves elderly Fairway man stabbed in chest

An intra-family squabble left a Fairway septuagenarian stabbed in the chest early Thursday, according to a report from the Kansas City Star.

Fairway police responded to a call from a home in the 6200 block of Howe Drive at 7 a.m. today where they found a man in his 70s with a stab wound in his upper chest. The injuries are not life-threatening.

When police arrived at the scene, the suspect, who is related to the man who was stabbed, fled. Police arrested him a few blocks away. The man who was arrested is in his 30s and lives with the victim. The two are related.
