Mission Hills’ Brandmeyer inducted into college honor society
The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi this week announced that Mission Hills native Emily Brandmeyer has been initiated into the selective honor society.
Brandmeyer, a 2009 graduate of SM East, is studying nursing at the University of Kansas Medical Center.
To qualify for Phi Kappa Phi, one of the oldest and most selective college honor societies, students must have outstanding academic records. Only the top 10 percent of college seniors and the top 7.5 percent of college juniors make the society.
Approximately 30,000 students, faculty, staff and alumni are initiated into the society every year after having their nominations approved by their school’s local chapter.
