Lancer grad gets bevy of recognition as college soccer season ends

The seven Lancers who signed letters of intent to play at the college level Wednesday aren’t the only SM East athletes making news this week.

Washington and Lee University sophomore Zach Colby, who was a soccer standout during his time at SM East, was named to all-conference first team for the Old Dominion Athletic Conference. The midfielder led the ODAC in goals with 13. He also led the conference in points (27) and game-winning goals (5). He sits at seventh in Washington and Lee’s all-time goals in a season records.

Colby was an ODAC Player of the Week in September, and also earned Academic All-District honors.
