SM East senior Vance Wentz may still have a semester and a half of class and an entire basketball season in front of him before hid bids Prairie Village adieu — but he already knows where he’s headed after graduation.
The 6’4″, 185 pound standout basketball player committed earlier this month to play at Montana State University in Bozeman, Mon. He was the first player to commit to Montana State for the 2013-2014 season.
It’s a decision that has both Wentz and Lancers head basketball coach Shawn Hair excited.
“I’ve know Vance since he was in kindergarten or first grade, since he started coming to my basketball camp,” Hair told the Bozeman Daily Chronicle’s Bobcat Blog. “I love him like a son. (MSU) will fall in love with him … He’s all about the team and winning.”
The Bobcats have made a total of three NCAA tournament appearances.
