Prairie Village restauranteur Kelly Manning is hoping his Tavern concepts will attract a loyal following in north Leawood as quickly as it did at its initial Village Shops location.
Manning and operating partner Anthony Zarate were joined by a cadre of staff and local elected officials Wednesday as they cut the ribbon on their new Tavern at Mission Farms location at 10681 Mission Road.
The new Tavern replaces Avenues Bistro, which operated in the space until July.
Manning and Zarate say the new location will feature the same style of cuisine as at the Village Shops, but with “minor variations making it subtly distinct from its sister,” according to a the press release announcing the opening.
Tavern at Mission Farms will be open 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and until 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Sundays the restaurant will open at 10 a.m. for a brunch that ends at 2 p.m., with normal service closing at 10 p.m.
