Two Northeast Johnson County restaurants were cited for health code violations during August inspections by the Kansas Department of Agriculture.
Mission Hills Country Club in Mission Hills and Tatsu’s French Restaurant in Prairie Village were cited for “critical” violations. Mission Hills Country Club was cited for milk and cream cheese stored at improper temperatures and pork and beef with older preparation dates (the restaurant said they had both just been thawed). All of the issues were corrected immediately.
Tatsu’s was cited for hand washing violations during its August inspections.
Principals at the two establishments told the Kansas City Star that violations had been corrected. In the case of the country club, the kitchen manager said none of the violations had an impact on food quality or safety.
