Football season’s here: Lancer Black and Blue football scrimmages start at 6 p.m.

Lancer football fans: Tonight’s the night.

The teams take to the field at 6 p.m. for the annual Black and Blue scrimmages, a chance for fans and family to get a look at this year’s team before they officially open up the season next Friday against the rival SM South Raiders. It’s a great chance to get an early look at quarterback Jordan Darling, who has already committed to Charlie Weis and the University of Kansas for next year, and the team’s tough trove of returning seniors.
