A handful of standout individual performances highlighted the Prairie Village Piranhas’ and Fairway Fins’ showings at Wednesday’s Johnson County All City 2012 swim championships.

Prairie Village swimmers took home top honors in five events. Meg Stanley won the 100M freestyle, butterfly and backstroke competitions in the girls 16-18 division. Trinity Legill took first in the 50M backstroke race for girls 10-11. And Grace Pickell, who appears to be something of an athlete, won the 100M breaststroke race for girls 16-18.

Fairway’s young Nick Trainor had an impressive day, as well, winning the 50M backstroke, 50M breaststroke, and 50M freestyle races for boys 9 and under. Sam Fountain of Fairway won the boys 9 and under 50M butterfly.

In the girls division, Prairie Village placed fifth overall and Fairway placed sixth. In the boys division, Prairie Village placed fourth and Fairway fifth.
