A’ight, Villagers: Time to keep those eyes peeled for a wayward black kitty.

Max Biggerstaff reports that his family’s faithful feline Barney slipped out the door of their home at 77th and Pawnee this morning — leaving Biggerstaff’s 10-year-old daughter brokenhearted. Barney was a Christmas gift to her from her parents this past December.

Barney wasn’t wearing a collar at the time, but he does have an ID implant chip. If you happen to find him, give Biggerstaff a call at 913-385-0476.

UPDATED: The Biggerstaffs report that Barney has been “detained and is now in custody.”
