Johnny’s Tavern reopens with darker new look
After a week and a half of being closed for renovations, Johnny’s Tavern at Corinth Square reopened Friday with an updated, darker look.
Construction crews refinished the wood and repainted the walls throughout the space, adding darker tones that proprietor Pat Roberts said were intended to give the venue a more pub-like aesthetic. The renovation also included updates to Johnny’s televisions, with new flatscreens in the booths:
Work continues on a new four-season porch at the front of the building. Roberts said crews anticipate having it ready to open around mid-July. Johnny’s will also be doing a renovation to its back porch which will include the addition of a firepit later this year.
