Remember how we told you earlier this month that the Prairie Village police would be participating in the statewide Click It or Ticket campaign?
Well sir, they weren’t fooling around.
Traffic unit officer James Carney reports that in the first week of the campaign, the department issued 108 seat belt citations. As part of the Click It or Ticket arrangement, the state will reimburse the department for the 34 hours the officers spent on the campaign during that first week — plus the additional time officers will spend through the end of the campaign June 3.
So drive safely and save yourself some hassle, Villagers.
