Journey to the center of the court: Teens drag couch to McCrum Park

I've had tennis coaches tell me to park at the net, but this is beyond the pale...

People passing McCrum Park in Prairie Village on Sunday might have noticed a full-sized couch sitting in the middle of the tennis court.

A neighbor whose house abuts the parks says a group of teenagers were there for nearly two hours Saturday night, and that when he woke up Sunday, he saw the couch, which appears to have been taken from a driveway on 69th Terrace.

The rapscallions left a note:

Dear Tennis Player,

I am sorry for the inconvenience of this couch. I carried here with my compatriots. We left it here because we were tired. Maybe you can incorparate this into your rigorous physical activity. Have a nice day.
