LANE4 president named local head of global shopping center trade group

The president of the company that bought the Village Shops, Fairway Shops and Corinth Square in a much touted $62.1 business deal three years ago has a new position of influence in the real estate world.

LANE4 Property Group’s Owen Buckley was named the Missouri state director for the International Council of Shopping Centers, a global trade group representing the shopping center industry. In the role, Buckley will serve as a representative for owners, developers, investors, marketers and other retail specialists on shopping center projects throughout Missouri.

In addition to the three local shopping centers, LANE4 owns properties at Tiffany Springs in Kansas City, Mo., in Papillion, Neb., and is developing a mixed-use project at 39th Street and Rainbow Blvd. in Kansas City, Kan. According to its own figures, LANE4 has done more than $200 million of completed development and property acquisition since 2008.
