A roundhouse of tribute to Prairie Village’s Chuck Norris on his 72nd birthday

Prairie Village’s favorite son turned 72 this week. And, frankly, we don’t think Chuck Norris looks a day over 50. All that time working out with Christie Brinkley on the Total Gym has really paid off…

What’s that you say? You weren’t aware that Hollywood legend and frequent Internet meme subject Carlos Ray “Chuck” Norris once resided in our fair city? Well, sir: It’s a fact. And not like those Chuck Norris “facts” that circulate around the Interweb. Or, at least it’s a fact according to Chuck Norris’s Wikipedia page.

Anyway, we actually sent a note to his people last week via chucknorris.com to see if they could shed a little more light on the Walker, Texas Ranger star’s time in our then-burgeoning suburban paradise. Alas, his people appear to have had more important things to do. Like, having his revolver collections cleaned, maybe. Or copy editing a reissue of his 2004 New York Times bestseller, “Black Belt Patriotism: How to Reawaken America.” Who knows? In any case, here’s a warm tribute from the good people at Mashable.
