Artistic students interpret Corinth — with Legos

A Lego school bus by Corinth 2nd grader Drew Taylor.

In art, so often, the advice is to work with a subject you know.

So it’s no surprise that the 35 entrants in Corinth Elementary’s recent Lego Contest produced a range of impressive — and creative — takes on a subject they know all too well: their school

The school announced its winners in the contest last week. They are:

1rst Place: Henry Meuten, kindergarten
2nd Place: CJ Manne, 5th grade
3rd Place: Ben Bogart, 2nd grade
4th Place: David Evans, 2nd grade
5th Place: Jay Cannova and Lincoln Renner, 2nd grade and 3rd grade

Judges were teachers and school staff Michelle Staub, Michael Lind, Holly Urban and Kim Bogart.

A classroom interior by Lauren Derks and Jill Foley.

"Corinth Elementary" by Sam Demetriou.

CJ Manne's 2nd place winning model of Corinth.

An interpretation of Mrs. Monteil and her classroom.
