Prairie Village police launch Facebook page to give updates, answer questions
The Prairie Village Police Department this week launched a new Facebook page that will allow residents to post questions and get up-to-the-minute updates on department business.
Crime prevention officer Matt Boggs said the page would include posts about police department events, crime prevention tips, significant arrests, missing persons, and other department news. Boggs will also be posting summaries of police reports and links to department’s crime map.
Boggs said he intends for the page to be interactive, and plans to respond to questions and concerns on the site as quickly as possible (though the page won’t be moderated 24 hours a day).
