Hurrah! Owly the Prairie Village Post mascot has returned

He’s back!

Owly, the beloved red-phase Eastern screech owl who set up shop in our backyard last spring, has returned to the notch he occupied last year — before disappearing without even leaving a note. But we don’t hold it against him. We’re just glad he found our hosting abilities adequate enough to pay a return visit.

We heard and saw him making his distinctive call last night (check out this page and click on one of the “A-song” examples), but weren’t able to catch it on video. We’ll try to get him on tape in the next week or so and put it up on the site.
