Prairie Village man takes model United Nations by storm
A Prairie Village man is making a name for himself as a Canadian.
Johnson County Community College student Aaron Haffey recently received an honorable mention for his portrayal of Canada’s position on the Commission on Science and Technology committee at the 2012 Midwest Model United Nations Conference in St. Louis.
Haffey discussed intellectually property rights and the role of science and technology in development. It was a performance that team adviser Brian Wright called “outstanding, particularly for his first time.”
Haffey serves in the Marine Corps and works for General Motors in Kansas City, Kan.
