Demolition of Tippin’s at Corinth Square to begin early next week

The former Tippin's Restaurant building at Corinth Square.

Time to say your last goodbyes to the old Tippin’s building at Corinth Square.

The city of Prairie Village has issued a demolition permit for the structure, with the contractor predicting work will begin on Monday. (We assume this means the Ripple Glass bin will be moving behind Hattie’s very shortly).

Assistant City Administrator Dennis Enslinger said Prairie Village is also likely to issue a permit to CVS early next week to move forward with construction of its new building on the site.

Peter Grassa, who represents Cedarwoods Development, the company that handles much of the real estate for CVS, said during the planning process for the new building that the company typically is able to have a new pharmacy open within six months of the start of construction.

The space in the Corinth Square main building that now houses CVS will be used in part for a new SPIN! Neapolitan Pizza location.
