Why is Charles Ferruzza hating on Waid’s?

Listen: We’re big Charles Ferruzza fans. But we take exception with his decision to call out good-old Waid’s in a Fat City blog post earlier this week.

As we’ve noted before, haute-cuisine, it is not. But sometimes the mood strikes for grilled cheese and probably-not-baked-from-scratch apple pie. Where else are you gonna go?

Alas, perhaps he’s correct that Waid’s isn’t long for the world. But should the day come when word hits that Waid’s will be no longer, you’d better believe we’ll get over there for one last 4:30 p.m. dinner.
