New Prairie Village utility cabinet now online, providing option of television service for 310 homes

A new utility cabinet installed by AT&T at 83rd Street and Delmar Lane is now online, allowing the company to offer its U-Verse television service to 310 additional homes in Prairie Village area.

The cabinet, which was approved by the city’s Planning Commission in July 2011, was installed last fall.

AT&T Kansas-Missouri Market Manager Chris Lester said U-Verse service now reaches approximately 7,000 homes in the 66208 zip code and about 3,000 homes in the 66207. An AT&T representative told us last summer that the addition of the cabinet at 83rd and Delmar “nearly completes” the company’s build in the Prairie Village area.
