Mission Hills native signs on to play baseball at KU
Nick Sweatt, a Rockhurst High School senior, was one of seven highly touted players to sign letters of intent to play baseball at the University of Kansas Thursday.
Sweatt batted .422 with five homeruns and 13 RBI in 26 games with the KC Barnstormers club team over the summer. Listed at 6’3″, 232 pounds, Sweatt plays catcher and first base.
Sweatt’s signing class with the Jayhawks also includes Hayden Edwards, a 6’9″ pitcher from Blue Valley High School listed at the best high school player in Kansas by Perfect Game USA.
