Prairie Village police release photo of vehicle possibly related to 71st Terrace armed robbery
Prairie Village police this afternoon released more information regarding the armed robbery that occurred on 71st Terrace Saturday night, including photos of a vehicle that may be tied to a suspect in the incident:
On 12/17/2011 Prairie Village Police responded to a reported robbery outside a residence in the 2900 Blk. of 71st Terrace. The robbery is believed to be linked to a similar robbery, which occurred in Kansas City, MO just prior to our incident in the 100 Blk. of W. 69th Street. A orange or red truck was seen leaving the area of the robbery in Kansas City, MO just prior to the reported incident in Prairie Village. Our agency later learned that a credit card belonging to our victim, which was taken during our robbery was used at a gas station in Kansas City, MO approximately one hour later. The truck depicted in the attached photos is seen at the pumps during the time frame our victim’s card was used. The vehicle appears to be a late 90’s model Chevy extended cab (possibly a Z-71 model). The video did not show any images of the occupants or any information on the license plate, however, at least two people were inside the truck at the time of this video. Again this vehicle is a vehicle of interest and it is unknown whether it is related to the robberies.
