SM East vs. Olathe South needs votes for Hy-Vee Game of the Week

A recent check of voting results in KMBC’s Hy-Vee Game of the Week voting suggests SM East boosters need to fire up their clicking fingers.

The SM East vs. Olathe South matchup was FOURTH out of the four game choices as of Thursday morning. Rockhurst vs. Blue Springs South was in first place with about 1,300 more votes than we have.

You can count the number of times the Lancers have made it to the second round of the state playoffs on one hand. Or maybe even half a hand. What I’m getting at is this: It hasn’t happened very frequently. So it’s a big deal. Which means we should cast some votes and try to get some TV coverage. Vote here.

On a positive note, though, the Bishop Miege Stags’ game against Blue Valley was in second place. So if the Lancers don’t make it, another local team is still in the running for some nice media attention.
