Mission Hills man dies in Connecticut plane crash

CTPost.com reported today that 64-year-old Peter Woodsmall of Mission Hills died in a single-engine plane accident in Danbury, Conn., Sunday night.

Woodsmall took the plane from Olathe to Maryland on Friday. According to flight plans, he was scheduled to make a short flight from Maryland to Connecticut arriving before 8:30 p.m. Sunday. A 91-year-old woman was balancing her checkbook in her kitchen around 8:10 p.m. Sunday when she heard the plane scrape her house as it crashed. The woman was not injured.
