Bijin Salon & Spa to expand Village Shops presence
Spa aficionados will soon have some extra room to leave the workaday world behind at a popular local destination.
Bijin Salon & Spa has signed a deal with Village Shops owner LANE4 to expand into 1,800 square feet of the space most recently occupied by the Macy’s home store. LANE 4 vice president Jeff Berg said the remaining square footage in the suite could be rented out to a single business, or broken up into smaller suites.
Bijin president Connie Suss said the new space will be used to expand their Studio B salon and retail space, as well as add a color mixing bar, processing area, and third restroom. The company will also be making renovations to its existing space, including improvements to the main salon and the existing restrooms.
“Needless to say we are very excited and grateful in this economy to be expanding, but after 13 years in this location and 24 total we love keeping it fresh for clients and staff,” Suss said.
Some construction will begin in the coming weeks, with the major projects starting the first of the year. Suss said they hope to have the renovations complete by the end of April.
