Prairie Village: Prepare yourself for a political coup and a takeover of our major infrastructure.

Tomorrow at 2 p.m., the city will be officially renamed Lancer Village. And our main thoroughfare will be overrun by marching teenagers and floats.

Indeed, it’s time for the annual Lancer Day Parade!

The parade, which will make its way down Mission Road from 75th Street to the Village Shops, marks the start of the football season. The Lancers have their season-opening game at 7 p.m. Thursday night against SM Northwest. The game will be at SM North stadium.
