LANE4 proposes sale of Corinth Bank of America building, buyer unknown
Corinth Square owner LANE4 has submitted a proposal to the city of Prairie Village to sell off the parcel of the shopping center where the former Bank of America building stands.
The proposal would require approval by the city’s Planning Commission at its next meeting, Tuesday, September 6.
LANE4 senior vice president Jeff Berg said the company could not disclose the potential buyer at this time, but that if the sale goes through, neighborhood residents shouldn’t expect any major changes to the property.
“It’s definitely not going to be a tear down,” he said. “And I wouldn’t expect any radically different changes in use.”
Bank of America vacated the property more than a year ago. Should the sale of the property go through, LANE4 would retain approval rights for any renovations to the exterior of the building so as to match the renovation work it will be doing to the main Corinth Square facility.
