Excessive heat warning in effect until 7 p.m. Wednesday
Let me know if this sounds familiar…
An excessive heat warning is in effect for Johnson County until 7 p.m. Wednesday. Today’s high could reach the low 100s, but will be relatively cool compared to Tuesday, when temperatures could hit a record-breaking 107 degrees. Heat index values during the warning period will peak during the day between 105 and 115 degrees.
A friendly reminder, if you need one, to drink plenty of water, avoid prolonged periods of time outdoors, and check in on elderly relatives and pets.
