Prairie Village Blizzard Jogger does something really ridiculous, even by his standards
We’re a little late to the game on this one, but figured it was notable enough to pass along.
You see, there was a race last month. A race called the Western States 100. It starts in Squaw Valley, Cal., and over the course of 100 miles, you climb 18,090 feet and descend 22,970. Through snow. And dust. And heat. A “quick” time is 24 hours. Straight. So, it’s something akin to running up and down a really long version of Mt. Kilimanjaro without really stopping.
And Prairie Village resident Danny Miller, commonly known here as the Blizzard Jogger, did it. In 28.5 hours. Ridiculous.
Miller posted the last part of his race recap on his blog last week, and it contains links to the first two entries. Definitely worth a read if you want to feel like a lazy bum. (A warning to all those families who gather around the computer to read PVPost.com together that the blog posts have some R-rated language in them. But, in context, it’s pretty freaking forgivable).
