Ribbon cut on Story restaurant

This Story has officially started. (And don’t worry, I think I’m officially out of Story puns).

Story proprietors Carl and Susan Thorne-Thomsen held a formal ribbon-cutting ceremony Thursday for the new Village Shops eatery, welcoming Prairie Village city officials and business leaders into their restaurant for a celebration — and a tasting.

Guests noshed on foie gras doughnuts and fried meatballs in mole sauce, among other treats, as Prairie Village Mayor Ron Shaffer and Northeast Johnson County Chamber of Commerce President Deb Settle welcomed the new business to town.
