This awesome post about KCP&L lightpoles!

Resident Jim O. emailed us a couple of weeks back with photos of a light pole on 74th Street that had its wiring exposed. (See photo above).

We got in touch with KCP&L to find out what caused the issue. They sent a crew to investigate, fixed the pole, and determined it was probably just a case of a worn fastener, and not vandalism.

UPDATED 3-27: Ms. Hockridge has written to let us know her station received an email tip from Ms. Nelson regarding the incident. So. Just one stolen story, perhaps.
