SM East grad back from NY for stint in Plaid Tidings at American Heartland
Plaid Tidings, the holiday edition of the popular stage show Forever Plaid, has been running at the American Heartland Theatre at Crown Center since November — and features a homecoming performance from a 1999 SM East graduate.
Grant Golson, who plays Smudge in the show, now lives in New York with his wife Liz, who’s also in the theatre. He left the area after high school to pursue his BFA in musical theatre at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in Manhattan.
Golson said he’s happy to be back working in his hometown for the holiday season. Plaid Tidings runs through Dec. 26. Check out a preview clip of the show below:
